PERSUASIVE POLICY ESSAY
In this assignment, I was instructed to educate my reader on the importance and scope of a social problem, and to then advocate for a detailed solution. I chose privacy regulations in the United States, and my proposed solution was to implement a version of the EU's GDPR regulations. This is one of my strongest pieces because it demonstrates my understanding of rhetorical argumentation and the importance of making a complex argument accessible to a wide audience.
MULTIMEDIA
For an assignment, I was required to advocate about an issue that was important to me. My goal: implement a change in the way Penn State handles OCR (Optical Character Recognition) in its PDF documents. After weeks of meetings with Penn State staff, I created a tutorial which will be featured in a Faculty Development course. It serves as an example of both my multimedia skills and how I can rhetorically tailor my message to different audiences.
